Have you heard of Epicure? I know I had never heard of it until a Canadian friend told me about it. If you haven’t heard of it, don’t worry. It’s new to the United States so that’s understandable.
Before I explain, I have a few questions for you 🙂
Do you like good food?
Want good food fast?
Have food allergies that make meal planning a bitch?
Do you want the kids to start taking an active role in helping cook meals?
Well then, Epicure can help with all of the above and so much more!
Initial Draw
I’m not gonna lie, my initial draw to Epicure was that EVERYTHING was gluten-free!!!! That’s a Celiac’s (or in my Celiac Mamma’s) Dream!!! Anything that can make my life easier when meal planning but still tastes good is right up my alley!!
I tried a couple of items before Epicure launched in the US (originally only in Canada) and was pleasantly surprised. The food was super easy to make AND had flavor – That’s like hitting the Celiac jackpot, lol.

Not only is Epicure GF, but…
- Peanut free – as in Nut-Free Facility

- Sugar and sodium conscious

Good Food Real Fast
One of Epicure’s claim to fame is that you can have Good Food Real Fast, basically raw to ready in 20 minutes! WHAT!!!!! Now, I will caveat that not all recipes can be made in 20 minutes, but there are tons that can be. Those are my go-to when the kids’ activities are taking over my schedule and I want them to eat real food.
Now I mentioned good food. What I mean buy that is REAL food, not processed shit. Don’t get me wrong, processed food still plays a small roll in our family, but I really try hard to limit it. I can pronounce all the ingredients that Epicure uses to make their awesome spices and meal kits – so that’s a plus in my book.
We still eat our favorites but choose better ingredients. We eat pizza, Mac-n-Cheese, wings, lasagna, etc. All of these using Epicure ingredients that help get food on the table quickly while using yummy ingredients.
Get the kids to HELP
I also mentioned getting the kids to help. Now how much they help depends on how old your kiddo is and your tolerance of having them in your kitchen space (something I struggle with, lol). I have teenagers and what I love is that they can make everything that Epicure offers! My Celiac daughter (14) already knows how to bake, but she could easily make any of the meals. Our son is 16 and college isn’t too far off for him and since many of the meals can be made in the microwave he could easily make them while living in the dorm – bonus!! I want my kids to have options and be able to cook for themselves, you know all that stuff they need to learn to be “adults”, lol.
So what do you think? Have I piqued your interest? If so, you can peruse all that Epicure has to offer here? If you need help, please feel free to contact me.
