If you are considering joining Epicure, you might want to take into consideration the 5 risks of joining Epicure before you make your final decision.
Your Pantry will be overflowing with awesomeness!
The first of the 5 risks of joining Epicure deals with your pantry. If you decide to become an Independent Epicure Consultant you will order a ton of goodies because you will want to try it all, at least that is what I did, lol. I can honestly say that my pantry is FULL, but not in a bad way! I only order what we love and know we will use.
I don’t have to order every month, I choose to. Like most people, I budget for our groceries (with two teens it’s rather obscene because they are always eating, lol) and Epicure is in the grocery business. Yep, I said it, but it is true!! I actually save money by using Epicure, not because of my Epicure discount (that is just extra awesomeness) but because their products are reasonably priced and all are gluten-free (our daughter is a Celiac so we have to buy gluten-free groceries).
Your friends will bug you for recipes!
The second of the 5 risks of joining Epicure deals with your friends. If you decide to join Epicure, you too will be in the food slinging/grocery selling business. When that happens, people automatically think you become a chef overnight (don’t freak out, Epicure has you covered!). You may not know what to do with all that Epicure awesomeness, but Epicure has you covered.
Epicure’s website has tons of recipes, plus other consultants post modifications that they have made as well in our consultant group. Basically, you will have a never-ending supply of recipes at your disposal that is tasty, easy to make, take around 20 minutes or less, and are good for you!
You could drop a few pounds!
The third of the 5 risks of joining Epicure deals with you. When I first joined Epicure my eating habits were all over the place, not gonna lie. I tried to eat balanced meals and eat healthily, but my snack game was strong and needless to say, my body got a little fluffier!
Epicure runs an Epic Life Challenge every quarter and if you follow it, you will have more energy, eat a balance plate every meal (and get a desert!), and for some, they lose weight as well.
Let me be clear, It Is NOT A Diet!!!! I don’t do diets, I think they are crap. What I do support is making small changes to reach the goals that I want. For example, eating breakfast every day instead of waiting until I am starving and eat everything in the fridge; drinking more water because I had been only drinking coffee, soda, and beer – not exactly the best or healthiest, lol. Now I only have 1-2 cups of coffee per day, normally no soda at all or maybe one every two weeks or so, and occasionally I will have a beer or adult beverage with dinner.
By making these minor changes I am sleeping better and I have more energy throughout my day. I have also added excersizing 6 days a week as well because I have a goal I am trying to reach. Because I have changed my daily habits (yes, I sometimes fall off the wagon or indulge but it happens infrequently now) I have noticed a change in my body. For me, it has only been 3 weeks of consistently doing these habits but I have released a few pounds and can see minor differences.
You just might find your tribe!
The forth of the 5 risks of joining Epicure deals with your tribe. I am a fan of direct sales, not the spammy crap, but the camaraderie that can come with it. I joined under someone I knew online only but we “virtually” traveled in the same circles. We weren’t necessarily close, but we knew each other.
Since joining, we have become friends. I have also become friends with our Director (I met her briefly at our convention last year) and other team members. They have become my tribe as we are like minded and have similar goals even though we live in different parts of the world and are different ages.
If you decide to join Epicure, make sure you at least like the person who you join under, lol. Make sure to see if their team and upline are a cohesive unit as not all teams are created equal.
You just might fall in love with meal planning!
The last of the 5 risks of joining Epicure deals with meal planning. Yep, I said it, lol. The dreaded meal planning, lol. Most people hate it because they are bored with what they can think of and they don’t have easy access to recipes. Yes, the Googles are available to all who have internet; however, it can be really overwhelming searching recipe websites. I mean, some of those recipes are time-consuming and use weird ingredients.
You can also pay for meal planning services (I have used eMeals in the past) but they might not work 100% for you because you have an uber picky teenager who just wants to eat hotdogs and pizza all the time. No, mmkay, maybe that’s just me, lol.
Regardless, I still had issues meal planning and found myself getting into a rut when I used eMeals. However, Epicure has multiple meal plan options already done for you (did I mention they are FREE) along with a ton of recipes. The cool thing is, you can search Epicure’s website and type in “pulled chicken” and see what recipes come up if you want something different than what is on the package.
